The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems will conduct An accreditation site visit of: AirMed International, LLC On: May 15-16, 2019

The purpose of the site visit will be to evaluate the program’s compliance with nationally established medical transport standards. The site visit results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which accreditation should be awarded to the program. CAMTS accreditation standards deal with issues of patient care and safety of the transport environment. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent or valid information about such matters may request a public information interview with the CAMTS site surveyors at the time of the site visit. Information presented at the interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process. Requests for public information interviews must be made in writing and sent to CAMTS no later than 10 business days before the site survey begins. The request should also indicate the nature of the information to be provided during the interview. Such request should be addressed to:

The Commission will acknowledge such written requests in writing or by telephone and will inform the program of the request for an interview. The Commission will, in turn, notify the interviewee of the date, time and place of the meeting. This notice is posted in accordance with CAMTS requirements and shall not be removed until the site visit is completed.

The association aims to promote air rescue and to develop and harmonize quality standards and to improve patient care and safety in air medical transports. AirMed is among the very few worldwide programs to hold full accreditation from both CAMTS and EURAMI.



Department of Defense (DoD)

AirMed International has met the requirements set forth by the United States Department of Defense Commercial Airlift Review Board as part of the DoD Air Transport Program. This process consists on-site inspection by the DoD Air Carrier Survey and Analysis Office to determine AirMed International meets the DoD Commercial Air Carrier Quality and Safety Standards. Air carriers in the DoD program are audited and inspected on an ongoing basis to assure the high DoD standards are maintained.


AirMed’s air carrier certificate (MDGA382G) is for worldwide operation, and the company has received global FAA authority.

NAACS Certification

NAACS NAACS Certification AirMed International requires that all Medical Communications Center Representatives obtain their Certified Flight Communicator Certification from the National Association of Air Medical Communication Specialists (NAACS) . The CFC certification consist of classroom training and covers topics such as flight following, navigation, map reading skills, aviation weather, post-accident/incident procedures, public relations, stress management, and medical terminology. It is the vision of NAACS to enhance the professionalism of the Air Medical Communications Specialists through education, recognition, and standardization. We believe in the value that is added by our staff by obtaining the CFC certification in the terms of safety, knowledge, and professionalism.
