AirMed Services

AirMed has successfully completed thousands of air medical transport missions since its inception over two decades ago. Keeping air safety management at the forefront, air medical transport options are offered based on the urgency, patient’s condition and financial considerations.
At AirMed, air ambulance safety is ensured by following strict protocol and procedures. Whether international or domestic, our commitment to air safety management remains an integral part of all our operations. We have created air safety management systems based on industry best practices to maintain the quality of our service and control risk exposure, ensuring that all our medical operations meet legal responsibilities.
Training
All the teams, including the medical team at AirMed, are required to complete extensive aeromedical environment training programs, in addition to maintaining proficiency in their specific fields. AirMed ensures that the emergency response of each department meets the criteria set, carrying out annual drills.
Support Staff
Our 24/7 support staff is available around the clock to resolve any emergency needs that may arise before, during, or after air medical transport. They work with the medical crew to make prompt arrangements, ensuring successful transport and air ambulance safety, including ground transportation, aviation and immigration clearance.
Safety Examination
We carry out comprehensive safety examinations of functions and operational environments to identify, analyse and mitigate potential hazards. From people and equipment to organisational structure and procedures, every function contributes to the company’s mission.
Safety Committee
The air ambulance safety committee meets regularly to discuss performance, industry trends, and safety initiatives. Members from all departments participate to ensure awareness of air ambulance safety processes across the organisation.
Risk Assessment
Risk assessments are conducted at every stage of air medical transport:
- A pre-scheduling assessment is completed to review any safety risks that may arise.
- Once the scheduling is done, an additional assessment is done to rule out any risks associated with the operations, environment or patient’s condition.
- The pilot considers the weather, airport, equipment and human factors to complete his flight risk assessment.
- The medical crew checks patient condition, human factors and weather to complete the medical risk assessment.
Certifications
Our medical teams also hold board certifications in CFRN (Certified Flight Registered Nurse) or CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) We are proud to have this as one of AirMed’s standards to provide the highest clinical care.
