AirMed International Expands Service Through Acquisition of AMR Air in Denver and Lifeguard Flying ICU in Las Vegas

As a result of the combination of Air Medical Group Holdings and American Medical Response, AirMed International has expanded its services to include AMR Air in Denver and Lifeguard Flying ICU in Las Vegas. All of these air medical transport operations are part of Global Medical Response, an industry leading medical transportation company.

Both additional AirMed International bases bring an excellent history of service and dedication. AirMed’s continued growth in the critical care transport field provides 24/7 assistance and uncompromising standard of care, both domestically and internationally. AirMed will continue to utilize AMR Air’s point-to-point model to offer a high level of care for critical care scenarios. Denver Flight Coordinators work tirelessly to provide the highest level of patient care and timely response for all non-emergent transport requests by utilizing a fleet of medically dedicated Bombardier Learjet 35 and longer-range Learjet 36 aircraft as well as larger and even longer-range Bombardier Challenger 601 aircraft.

When contacted, we evaluate which asset is best positioned to service any domestic or international medical transport and offer an upfront price quotation for service. Our floating fleet allows the greatest flexibility in the industry by eliminating empty leg mileage and reducing flight time to patients. We operate 4 dedicated Learjets under this model and these aircraft can be activated for any domestic mission on a 2-hour notice. This approach to air medical transportation allows us to be nearly anywhere at any time, giving us the flexibility to meet diverse transportation needs.

In addition, our newly added Las Vegas base provides both emergent and non-emergent transport services and assists with organ procurement transports as well as medical transportation of patients receiving the organ transplant. Our Vegas operation utilizes a combined fleet of Textron King Air C-90 and B200 medically-equipped turboprops as well as a medically dedicated Learjet 35 aircraft. The fleet allows us to assist our partnered hospital-based systems in the region as well as provide unparalleled medical care and bedside to bedside transportation on worldwide basis.

AirMed International welcomes these operations to the family.
